DIY: Feathers and Lace Mobile

I recently got in a crafty mood, which is surprising because of all of the artistic schoolwork I have to get done... I was also tired of my one wall looking so bare, so I thought of a creative way to use up the space by creating something pretty!

You too can make this simple, yet whimsical craft too with just a few supplies! You will need the following:

Here come the directions...

I didn't have a picture of the middle process, but after you tie your sticks together, plug in a hot glue gun, and start glueing! I glued the lace on first in intervals, then I proceeded to glue the feathers to the yarn (You probably want gloves for this part! I may or may not have a few slight burns on my fingers...) After that, I went crazy and glued them to the base all at different lengths. In the end, it's truly magical! It's like staring into a day dream all day... For added effect, place in the great outdoors and dance along to the song of the wind in your broomstick skirt...

If you end up making this craft, I would LOVE to see pictures! You can send them to me at
